Couples Therapy - Do you feel stuck in your relationship? Have you reached what appears to be a crossroads, and you need help navigating your path to the future? Or, maybe you are in a ‘good place’ and you are looking to explore ways to strengthen your relationship. Please contact me for free initial phone call or Zoom meeting.

I have a strong belief in the innate ability of every person to chart their own journey through life.

I’d been a librarian for many years and when I began to consider a career in counselling, this belief informed my decision to train as a person centred counsellor.

I met with my first client in 2018, soon after I began training. I have since worked with a wide range of clients since then. I have always wanted couple counselling to be part of my practice and have recently started working with couples.

As a black woman in a multicultural society, equality, openness, acceptance are some of my guiding principles. I have worked with and I continue to welcome people from all cultural, economic and social background. I warmly welcome neurodivergent people and people who refuse to label themselves.

My core practice is Person-Centred Counselling, which is based on the theory that every human has a natural instinct for growth, an ability to reach their full potential in life. I believe people come to therapy because this ability has been hampered by external factors like traumatic childhood and life events, societal harm and injustice, bereavement and many more. As your therapist, I will help you rediscover your ability to thrive, so that you are once again able to embrace your life in an authentic way.

My aim is to walk beside you, with compassion and without judgement, as you explore the issues that brought you to therapy. I will help you to explore your choices and support you as you face your fears in executing them. I will walk with you as you try to identify the changes you want in your life. I will listen and help you to challenge yourself as you come to terms with past decisions and make new ones.
